How does a pressure booster pump work?

A pressure booster pump operates by using an electric motor to drive an impeller that increases water pressure. These pumps typically come with pressure control systems (Mechanical/Electronic) and a pressure tank to maintain consistent water pressure. When the pressure control system detects a drop in water pressure, it activates the motor. Water is drawn into the pump, passed through the impeller, and pushed out at a higher pressure. The pressurised water is then directed through the outlet to the desired locations, ensuring consistent and strong water flow. How to install a pressure booster pump?

Pressure booster pumps are mounted on a level concrete foundation using appropriate bolts. It is important to use the recommended pipe size on both the suction and the delivery sides and to ensure that the pump pipelines are in line with existing plumbing systems.

For overhead tank application, install bypass valve to ensure continuous water supply during power interruptions. Assemble foot valve for negative suction installation. Ensure appropriate pressure setting in the pressure tank, and pressure controller.
