Taro Excellence Awards 2024
‘What Got You Here Won’t Get You There’ is a book by Marshall Goldsmith. As a leadership thinker, Goldsmith has done quite a lot of amazing things such as pioneering the 360-degree feedback and written a slew of books on diverse subjects such as leadership, organisation change, and finding purpose in life. For us at Texmo Industries, the title of his book, ‘What Got You Here Won’t Get You There’ inspired us to think of doing things differently, and say to ourselves, “What got us here isn't going to get us to where we need to be…”
How did we apply it?
In the recent past, we presented twenty-five of our dealers with the Taro Excellence Award 2024. This award is the epitome of how we decided to use a different system of recognising our dealers. Earlier, it was a pretty simple way of measuring performance – a comparison of sales figures. While that got us remarkable results and placed our dealers in strong positions in the market, it was not going to be enough to propel us into the future.
Therefore, we changed around our dealer performance measurement to include two other important aspects such as:

Customer experience – based on feedback from customers and

Dealer conduct – based on observation and feedback from our sales teams
Of course, sales performance is key too, but it is not the only metric available to us now. With our knowledge that brand, product perception, product quality, price, and company reputation are all inextricably linked together, we have adopted a more holistic way of supporting our dealers too.
The awardees
Our dealers have been the backbone of our business for over sixty-five years now. As the face of our brand, they are the first line of contact for customers who want to know more about Taro Pumps and walk into any of our dealerships across the country. Dealers are also the voices of our customers. They give us valuable, actionable, and critical information on what the customers are saying. That is precisely why collective performance of our dealers is the reward of the entire Texmo Group.
Among the network of dealers that serve customers with the best products from Taro Pumps, twenty-five of them showed exceptional results and therefore they were awarded with Taro Excellence Awards for the year 2024. Here are the names of our awardees:
